London Aug. 30th, 2023 – MetaMask Institutional leverages the Rated APIs in its marketplace, surfacing performance metrics to help guide organizations in allocating capital to node operators.
Selecting the ideal staking service provider is a challenge for organizations, as there is a plethora of choices yet little context on how these differ from one another. Each provider comes with distinct infrastructure configurations as well as varying reporting standards and performance metrics. MetaMask Institutional is leveraging the Rated APIs to surface performance metrics about these service providers to their marketplace interface, injecting much-needed transparency into the selection process.

More specifically, Metamask Institutional’s marketplace interface is leveraging;
Estimated Rewards: This metric indicates the percentage of annual rewards that organizations are projected to receive based on a provider’s performance over the preceding week. Rated’s Operator Effectiveness endpoint provides comprehensive details about the historical performance of an individual operator. This encompasses rewards (both aggregate and granular), performance data (effectiveness and its components), slashing history, and more.
Network Control: This metric indicates the estimated percentage of staking validators associated with each provider. Rated’s Operator Summary endpoint delivers a summary of statistics for a specified Operator including their validator count, client distribution, network penetration and more.
