Announcing Rated Labs’ Series A round

London Sep. 25th, 2023 – Today we are thrilled to announce that Rated Labs, the company behind Rated, has raised a $12.888 million Series A round to accelerate our mission for greater transparency and rich context in Web3 infrastructure data.

The financing round was led by Archetype, with participation from seed investors Placeholder, 1confirmation, Cherry and Semantic, as well as new backers Robot Ventures, Chorus One, Factor and Maelstrom among others.

Since founding the company in 2022 and launching our first product, we have seen nearly 150k unique visitors on the Rated Explorer, 60M calls on the Rated API spread across 45+ integrations, as well as partnerships and integrations with leaders and innovators in the Ethereum Staking ecosystem including Lido, Liquid Collective, Metamask Institutional, Chorus One, Stader Labs and Nexus Mutual among others.

We’ve learned much over the past year and a half of building out Rated, but one of those learnings is particularly salient; we’re not alone in thinking that the effort to weave together an independent, fair and transparent view of consequential infrastructure, upon which we seek to build a new operating system for finance, commerce, media, and more, is indeed important.

We’re foverever thankful to all of you that see things in the same way we do.

With the new funding we’ll power through expanding our capabilities to multiple new Proof-of-Stake networks, as well as new agent sets beyond validators (e.g. builders, sequencers etc), while bolstering our investment and commitment to Ethereum and its ecosystem.

We also plan to expand and enhance our current product line with new features and functionality, including an enhanced explorer, all new API console, credentials for Node Operators, as well as bolstering our onchain footprint.

Ultimately, in a future where 1% or more of the global transactions in finance, commerce, media and more eventually run on a blockchain, neglecting transparency and integrity at the infrastructure layer, is simply repeating design mistakes of old. Our mission is to not only be a beacon of light in that future, but—more importantly—to help shape it and bring it to bear.

We’re hiring across a wide range of roles. To join us in this adventure, head here!
